It was a great pleasure to join Geraldine Mellet on ABC Drive in Perth to talk about the Russia’s war in Ukraine, what’s next and why it’s important for Australia to continue supporting our fight for freedom.

On behalf of the Ukraine Government I thank Australia for all it has done for Ukraine so far, and I encourage Australia to continue its practical support of Ukraine’s self-defence until Ukraine can resolve this conflict caused by Russia on Ukraine’s terms. Australia is upgrading its military capabilities, and that is a good thing, based on the tragic experience of Ukraine at the hands of Russia.  What Ukraine asks now from Australia and many other countries around the world is that Australia joins Ukraine in the concept of active collective defence.  We do not need Australian troops on the ground, but we do need military equipment that Australia no longer needs.
