Former Ambassador Kevin Rudd AC
We are monitoring closely developments at Harvard University in relation to the administration’s statement this afternoon on the future enrolment of international students. I know this will be distressing for Harvard’s many Australian students. The Embassy is working with the United States Government to obtain the details of this decision so that Australian students can receive appropriate advice. We also intend to engage the administration more broadly on the impact of this decision for Australian students and their families both at Harvard and at other campuses across the United States. Should any Australians require urgent consular assistance, please contact the Consular Emergency Centre on 1300 555 135 (in Australia) or +61 2 6261 3305 (from overseas).

🇺🇸 We received $67 billion in weapons and $31.5 billion in budget aid, this is all open information, anyone who wants can check it, — Zelensky ❗️More than two dozen American companies were operating in Ukraine, including in temporarily occupied territories, and this did not stop Putin.

Donald Trump violated his oath to uphold the Constitution when he incited an attack on our democracy January 6. He is unfit to be President of the United States. I have never wavered in my sworn oath to uphold the Constitution, and I will always stand for rule of law.

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed the race. A Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory. A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win." The journalist insisted, "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his." The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my mother think of that?" Your comments on this
