You are failing to follow the logic here, and intentionally using the harsh term “rape” for the husband’s act without consent, and a very innocent term: “spending money” for the wife’s action without consent, which you should have called “theft/robbery” if you were being impartial. Also, the point is not that the husband has the right to force himself on his wife. The point is merely that if, in a marital relationship, the wife can withdraw her consent to sex, the husband has an equal right to withdraw his consent to the wife using his money or resources for anything. You can not have all the rights and simply withdraw your consent when it comes to your spouse’s rights on you.

You have just proven my point. Financial support IS a negotiable social arrangement, yet women believe their husbands ‘owe it to them’, and courts routinely compel it without the man’s consent. If bodily autonomy is absolute and non-transferable, so is financial autonomy. You can’t invoke ‘consent is never owed’ selectively. Either both parties can decline their assumed marital role, or neither can. Consistency isn’t patriarchy, it’s equality. Bottom line: If my wife continuously and absolutely declines sex without any valid reason, I would divorce her and send her back to where she came from. I will not take the financial responsibility of a leech.
