I was aware of the uprising in Iran in 2023. I followed it. I watched it. And I stayed quiet because I didn’t feel like it was my place to speak. I regret that. What’s happening in Iran right now isn’t politics. It’s people fighting for their lives, their freedom, and their dignity in the streets against a brutal regime. I stand with the people of Iran. Not performatively. Not selectively. Now is the time for the world to stand with Iran the people not the regime.
