bookseller life is knowing (objectively) that you have 50 copies of a book somewhere and knowing (for a fact) that they cannot simply have vanished whilst also accepting that it is impossible to find them, and that they have gone forever

Today, our booksellers unfortunately had to turn a squirrel away from entering our shop as it did not have a mask. We do apologise, but it was for the safety of our staff and other fellow customers.
