Fun story line should Purdue face Missouri in the second round. In March 2011, Matt Painter was courted heavily by Mizzou to replace Mike Anderson. Some reported it as a done deal. But Purdue stepped up and retained Painter. Mizzou pivoted to Frank Haith.
