@Coelasquid Incredibly smart. Look how vinyl is doing these days. Also CRT tvs with VHS are inching up in price. As important: maintain/dust the DVD player-notice how hardware ain’t coming with drives these days?

Forever grateful I didn’t get rid of my dvd collection when streaming seemed like it was going to be The Way Of The Future, because like half of them are weird old horror movies on their way to becoming lost media after their licenses got passed around and lost in the shuffle.

@Coelasquid @Omnithea Once I was cast for the pilot, I replaced the 1 primary temp which was animal crossing sound alike: more meep-meep/muppety. But who knows. Gave couple options. From voicing a weary cockroach to satan’s rock boy Chew, Seth had me run the gamut. Loved every minute

@Hatstamp @Omnithea Did you do all the different temp versions we had too? we’d go back and forth episode to episode where he’d be more low and hissy or more high pitch and “animal crossing”-y

@Coelasquid @Omnithea One temp voice. One of the creators put a placeholder in for the pilot. When I was cast as SWA, we played around in the recording booth over two 15 min sessions, swapping ideas, until we found a good mix of snakeiness and armsiness.

@Omnithea They also went through something like three completely different temp voices for him before they settled

@Omnithea @Coelasquid The script had his subtitled dialogue written out. I would perform his vocalization of upward and downward inflections using character intention to underpin emotionality. Phonetically it’d be something like: eeethss ithhss hithhhhs hisss.
