@Theatremonkey1 @TIMTAM These probably aren’t the only biscuits they copied. An English friend moved there some years ago. She worked for Arnold’s - and on one trip back she bought a number of biscuits for work….
English

Just tried my first ever Tim Tam @TIMTAM. No wonder Australia wanted to keep the secret all to itself for so long. A far more delicious version of the British "Penguin" biscuit is how I'd describe it.

@Theatremonkey1 @INA_TheatreSnob I’m angry too because many seats will be empty after the interval when Grande pop
fans discover it’s not Wicked or an all singing all dancing West End show.
English

@INA_TheatreSnob You said it. Everyone I know is feeling the same as you. I'm also angry, which doesn't help either.
English

Honestly depressing seeing this before they even go on sale.
I'm dreading to think what will happen in May...

@Theatremonkey1 Do you want something to ever slightly soften the blow? Australian passport renewal in the UK around £300 in Australia over £200
English

@mrcarl_woodward I too remember seeing it a few times from the front rows when tix were £10. Dame Judi was heartbreaking. It was a truly great actor singing her emotions that did. I’ve never forgotten it
English

@mrcarl_woodward I’ve become like a broken down record in the social media comment sections. So because it’s usually Americans saying it, I think we should all say - IN Broadway
English

@mrcarl_woodward Agree 💯 with that. Best thing about it - Rachel Zegler is a star 🌟 worst thing was that dreadful choreography 💃. Just my opinion of course 😀
English

@josilvapq @mrcarl_woodward I saw the original Broadway cast with BP and others. I was a naive 23 year old travelling through New York on the way to Europe from Melbourne. It was a revelation.
English

@mrcarl_woodward honestly, i would give my house to see the original cast of into the woods performing. not joking
English

@AdrianRees15 @mrcarl_woodward I remember going up to Leicester from London to see it. Wonderful it was too. My God 26 years ago.
English

@mrcarl_woodward Sitting and watching the tech when I designed it at Leicester Haymarket, and getting to the Sunday moment at the end of act one and realising that it was a career high and not being able to stop crying. An extraordinary privilege.
English

@mrcarl_woodward Agree, nothing has been near as good this year. I predict a huge future for it all around the world. I’m curious to see if anyone would take a punt on it in the West End? This play is exactly only what live theatre can do! Take any subject and bring it magically to life. Bravo

@ATDazzles @_bridgetheatre Sometimes a review expresses exactly what I’m feeling. ☝️ I have many more thoughts from the botched stage design in the second act, that step on both sides is treacherous to my personal disappointment in Kate Fleetwood - she can’t sing and the transformation is just dull.
English

Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine’s ‘Into The Woods’ returns to London in a production at @_bridgetheatre packed with an amazing cast, though something gets lost halfway through the wood, with it lacking all the correct ingredients.
Here’s my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ review:

@Theatremonkey1 @NationalTheatre They’ve pushed the front rows to £30 for Liaisons though
English

So, @NationalTheatre, all 4 plays in their new season, front row seats, total £95. Less than £25 each - or the price of a single band A seat to a show in the West End, more or less. I call that a decent result.
English

@OperaCreep Just back from it. He is mediocre at best and not as good as he thinks he is. A completely idea free empty production. The previous Tosca production was not that great, but a work of genius next to this. The critics will probably love it!
English

@OperaCreep Sorry George I pretty much always agree with you but the Aussie version is terrible. I watched the Nigella judge series because I love her and just couldn’t get through it. That relentless pumping music and the endless contestant stories. I hate it. And I am Australian (Greek).
English

Knickers in a total twist, maybe don't say silly things in the first place. Also politicians you don't have to tell journalists what you're watching, nobody will confirm if she will binge watch MasterChef. Watch the Australian version, it's superior 🤣
