@HaulerLong

Covid gave me craniocervical instability. Damage to connective tissue is a big part of long covid. Post-viral conditions need care, recognition and research.

I have craniocervical instability (CCI). Diagnosed with upright MRI in flexion, extension and rotation. Covid triggered it. This is not new, the surgeon who diagnosed me has seen viruses and other pathogens do this before. Covid is not different. #MEspine #CCI #LongCovid

Någon i Sverige med postcovid eller ME som fått undersökt om strukturella problem i nacke/rygg kan bidra till symptomen? Exvis CCI, ryggmärgsvätskeläckage, tethered cord,…?

When I started talking about LC in April 2020, I was pretty sure a trilogy would cover it. I can now present the *100th* film on the subject, and no end in sight! 2nd in the series on CCI/tethered cord, thanks @doctorasadkhan & @jencurtinmd ! youtu.be/3pc9xOSiA1Q

Despite thousands of #LongCovid studies revealing profound biological abnormalities in patients vs controls, & millions globally displaying the same consistent symptoms, still – yes, STILL – you have charlatans pushing the "it's psychological / FND, give them exercise & CBT" line

@Priceless20201 @maurici93852731 @jenbrea Still slowly getting better. Able to walk more and I now work full time. My neck is still bad though so I am looking at different non-invasive treatments for it. Proloteraphy and other similar different options.

PART I: Connective Tissue & Immune System #LongCOVID is shedding light on long-ignored, physiological aspects of Post-Viral syndromes (e.g. #MECFS) One fascinating area is the role of connective tissue (and Ehler Danlos Syndrome #EDS) in their pathophysiologies. 1/

@maurici93852731 @jenbrea I’m not a candidate for neck fusion because my symptoms are ”mild”. I’ve had my occult tethered cord released though. Still early days with ups and downs but overall I think it has helped. Some symptoms are gone.

@HaulerLong @jenbrea if you please, what treatment did your neurosurgeon suggest? They found a seringomelia cavity in my c3, presumably due to covid. I have headache, neck pain and weakness. just wait to see if it goes away.

More 'exercise is great for #LongCovid' nonsense. This time out of Ireland. "Patients carry out circuits consisting of squats, lunges, stretches and other aerobic and strength-based exercises." ....What's the word for the polar opposite of cutting-edge research again? 🤦🤦

@BohumilRajchl I’ve had the tethered cord released. I will not have a surgery for the neck. In the future, if my symptoms get worse, maybe I’ll have to get it. But for now I can manage them. My life is nothing like before but not bad enogh for a neck fusion.

What do you think is the cause of the terrible HEADPRESSURE in long covid? Microclots? Viral persistance? Some kind of damage? #LongCovid #TreatLongCovid
