@ouijaboard00 Time looked pretty quick alright. Maybe was a lovely even pace which can produce quick times, but conditions were seemingly quicker than official description.

@HawkWing2002 Fastest gold cup time since I believe Don Cossack 2016? The chase track was bordering good to firm anyway

Anyone have any views on the times at Cheltenham last Friday? It felt like it was Soft (Good to Soft) on the hurdles track, but then closer to Good on the chase course? Not a times expert but nearly feels Sandown-like or has it always been this way?

@BHDFlanagan @HawkWing2002 Worth noting the Gold Cup is always run on virgin ground with that fresh strip up the inside used only one day per year.

@BHDFlanagan Aye, seriously windy on Thursday too, right through the day, if memory serves.

@HawkWing2002 It was windy all day too so prob dried out even more by afternoon. A light shower before GC. That's why they were mud splattered but didn't effect going .

@HawkWing2002 I walked the track Fri morning. Chase track was considerably drier with a nice fresh strip on inside and had a better covering of grass.

@GunnHart @RacingTV It was, but you don't water with rain arriving. So much rain fell that day it probably didn't make a difference, but it was another wrong call. The year Constitution Hill won the Supreme, it was proper good. It's rammed down our throats it will start on Good to Soft every year.

@RacingTV @HawkWing2002 Was it not only a couple of festivals ago they watered the ground then it pissed down and they all moaned it was to wet? With the forecast im sure that was in the back of their minds!
