At halftime, Bailey MacDonald has already racked up 15 disposals at 100% efficiency for Box Hill. Surely there’s a way to get him into the senior side? It’d be great to see players who are performing consistently week in, week out at VFL level actually get their chance.

@Hawkt4stic Before figuring out how these great bhh players get in the team, first answer the question on who goes out for day. Then work backwards.

@Hawkt4stic I don't hate the idea of Hawthorn rotating through some of the senior players to allow game time for some youngsters. It's good for depth and longevity...

Big fan of Bailey and I want to see him in the side, but breaking into the 23 is really tough. If I'm calling the shots, I'm not making any changes to our back six if I don't have to (Sicily was a forced change)

Is Impey one of the most underrated players in the AFL? He barely gets the recognition he deserves from the media.
That said, Hawthorn fans certainly see his value. He might fly under the radar externally but inside the Hawthorn faithful he’s very much appreciated.

The words “star” and “champion” get thrown around a lot these days, but they feel genuinely fitting when it comes to Scott Pendlebury. He’s an absolute legend and it’s hard to imagine many opposition supporters having a bad word to say about him.

@HawkMan131415 Only six kicks, though. You’d have to think the instruction was to handball at all costs, given how often his kicks turn into turnovers. Just 95 metres gained really tells the story.

Finn has been really good today. Good on him. I still 100% believe he isn’t good enough to play AFL but he has done his chances no harm today. Great game and great to watch

I hope Butler hasn’t been omitted and is truly a ‘managed’ selection because going back to Finn is ludicrous to me. Can’t kick, low IQ, horrible handball/touch. Just can’t take the next step to the AFL level. I like the Gunston/Dalton/Scrimshaw additions. Huge test. Great teams find a way to be competitive when missing key players.
