Nope, not ornaments. My friend is going through the house where her grandma and aunt lived their whole lives and finding weird stuff. Apparently these are solid and very heavy; too heavy to hang on a tree. What are they

@SamaHoole Why do you spend loads of time posting all this stuff on X then? Why not get out there in the abundant sunshine with all your friends, go hunting, and get away from your glowing screen.

For 99.6% of human history: - Eating was occasional - Fasting was frequent - Movement was necessary - Sitting was rare - Sunlight was abundant - Indoor time was minimal - Community was mandatory - Isolation was impossible - Sleep followed darkness - Artificial light didn't exist - Food was scarce and valued - Abundance was celebrated - Fat was sacred Modern life: - Eating is constant - Fasting is "disordered" - Sitting is mandatory - Movement is "exercise" - Sunlight is avoided - Indoors is default - Isolation is normal - Community is scheduled - Sleep is optional - Screens glow 24/7 - Food is abundant and feared - Scarcity is dieting - Fat is feared We've inverted every single variable that made humans thrive. Then we're surprised that nobody's thriving.

@SamaHoole Women will have almost always sat down/lay down to breastfeed. Sunlight was not abundant for about 3 months of the year in the Northern hemisphere. All mammals naturally shelter from the rain and wind.

France has one of the highest life expectancies in Europe. Their diet includes: - Butter with every meal - Cheese courses - Pâté and terrines - Duck fat - Fatty cuts of beef - Cream sauces - Full-fat dairy Their life expectancy: 83 years. But France isn't a Blue Zone because acknowledging this would require admitting that saturated fat doesn't kill you. Can't have that. Better to focus on Sardinian shepherds and pretend they're eating chickpeas when they're actually eating pecorino and lamb.

Children instinctively reject vegetables. This isn't "picky eating." It's toxin detection. Young children: - Refuse bitter foods (bitterness signals plant toxins) - Prefer sweet foods (quick energy, historically rare) - Prefer fatty foods (calorie-dense, building blocks) - Refuse vegetables unless masked with fat/salt/sugar Parents have to: - Hide vegetables in other foods - Bribe children to eat them - Force compliance with "three more bites" - Cover them in cheese or butter to make them palatable No parent forces children to eat bacon. No child needs bribes to eat butter. Kids don't reject meat and fat. They request it. Because instincts evolved over millions of years recognise optimal nutrition. Then we override those instincts with agricultural propaganda. "Eat your vegetables" is cultural programming, not biological wisdom. Children are detecting plant defense chemicals their bodies know to avoid. We call it picky eating. It's actually intelligent eating.

@HaydnNuff @SamaHoole Your brain has a profound memory for what you eat. Research shows just 4 days of junk food can rewire its memory center, prioritizing cheap energy over health. It constantly seeks energy (glucose), nutrients, and neurochemical "hits" like dopamine and serotonin.

Fiber doesn't cure constipation. Fiber IS constipation. Fiber is indigestible plant matter that your body can't break down, so it sits in your intestines and you call it "bulk." What you're calling "regular bowel movements" is your body desperately trying to expel the irritant you keep feeding it. Carnivores on all-meat: Bowel movements every 2-3 days. Minimal volume. No straining. No urgency. Complete absorption. Because meat is 95%+ bioavailable. Your body uses almost everything. There's not a lot of waste left over. Meanwhile plants are 40-70% bioavailable. Your body rejects most of it. You don't need fiber to poop. You need to stop eating things your body doesn't want.

Go to any restaurant. Order anything fried, sautéed, or cooked in oil. You're eating seed oils. Guaranteed. Why? Cost and "health recommendations." What's actually happening in restaurant kitchens: Deep fryer at 375°F. Filled with soybean/canola oil. That oil is used for: 6-8 hours daily. Changed once per week (maybe). During that week: Heated to oxidation temperature 40-50 hours. Continuously forming toxic compounds. Each heating cycle: More oxidation, more aldehydes, more trans fats, more breakdown products. By day 7: That oil is a toxic soup of oxidized lipids. You're eating French fries cooked in week-old, continuously oxidized seed oil. Salad dressings: Soybean oil base. Ranch, Italian, Caesar, vinaigrette. You ordered a salad to be healthy. The dressing has 3 tablespoons of seed oil. Sautéed vegetables: "The healthy option." Cooked in seed oil at high heat. Oxidized. Baked goods: Muffins, bread, croissants. Made with seed oils. Mayonnaise on your sandwich: Seed oil. Even the "olive oil" they drizzle on bread is often 50% seed oil (see olive oil fraud). You cannot avoid seed oils eating at restaurants. Unless: You specifically ask what oil they cook with. Even then, they might not know (corporate supply chain). This is why "eat out less" is health advice. Not because restaurant food is higher calorie. Because it's cooked in oxidized seed oils you can't avoid. And we wonder why people get sick.

Them: "You only eat meat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?" Me: "I eat eggs too. And I typically don't eat 3 meals a day. I eat one, my break-fast, and it's usually around 4pm." Them: "Oh my gosh!! Aren't you hungry in the morning? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! You need to eat every 3 hours to be healthy and boost your metabolism." Me: "First, no I'm not hungry in the morning. My body is well nourished. Second, I do have breakfast. It's just not at the same time you have breakfast. Third, prior to changing my diet, I used to eat every 3 hours because I was hungry all the time. I now know that if you're hungry every 3 hours, then you're obviously not eating the right foods."
