The mark of a mentally tough person is responding to adversity with more focus and effort. Missed shots, turnovers, and bad calls are inevitable, but you don’t have to get deflated. Toughness is encountering negative events without losing your work ethic & enthusiasm.

Every successful athlete has faced adversity. In fact, it’s their triumph over adversity that gave them the mental toughness to succeed later in life.

GBB games scheduled vs. may-Port CG on Tuesday have been moved to Monday the 12th. (Tomorrow). All games at Mayville high school starting with 7th grade at 4:00 followed by 8th grade, JV, and then varsity. This change is due to impending weather on Tuesday.

50th anniversary of Title IX and we spent it by playing/watching womens’ basketball. This was a huge win for women’s sport and these girls are doing a great job of representing female athletes! What a wonderful opportunity to grow and improve as a team! ❤️🏀

Patricia Sue Head Summitt was born on this day 70 years ago. She took the head coaching job at Tennessee at age 22, just one year after Title IX passed. Over 38 years, she built a Vol legacy, and paved the way for WBB. The game would not be what it is today without her. 🧡🧡🧡🧡
