Reading the best selling book ‘This is going to hurt’ -just so depressing that this doctor’s fun-making and disregard of childbearing women is accepted as funny by society. And we wonder why there is so much trauma. The language, the judgmental attitude ☹️ @dr_bjm

@makesmilk SO true! Things really turned around in my own healing - after a traumatic birth and difficult start to breastfeeding - when I realised that I had had not failed but that I WAS failed. Massive different, and huge steps forward in healing & learning from that point. xx

We need to speak to the women who have been failed by the system. And apologise for how they have been let down. No woman is a failure but they may have been failed. This is true of both birth and breastfeeding. #abmconf18

And they wonder why our "Healing From Birth" meets often have totally booked out within a day. And why the mums who attended express they feel so shattered & betrayed after their birth.
