Why do we often see 50 people saying *something* works fight 50 people saying it doesn't, when they're both looking directly at the answer - it works 50% of the time.

It's hard for people to grasp the idea of something being not material. Energy is an attribute of matter but not material itself. I think E=mc² gives people the impression that it's material, like if it can affect mass it must be material, but at the end of the day it's not really harmful to people. It's a shortcut for them to understand it, still better than flat earthers 😂.

@Heardof_Science The law of conservation of energy gives many people the indelible, irrational, and confusing impression that energy exists. It does not. Energy is an indispensable mathematical tool for accounting for the effects of force exerted through distance, but it does not exist.
