As someone connected to everyday normie Idahoans, I can tell you this. If I sat them down and walked through the infighting of the past three years between the Republican party, most would just look at me and say, “Who cares?” Of course, I take a side because only one group actually understands how politics works and how you move votes. The other side seems more interested in cozying up to moderate elites in Idaho, like Moyle who, I know for a fact, views people like Sen. Nichols and Rep. Scott as useful idiots at best. He’ll throw them a bone as long as they play along, but make no mistake they’re being used to move votes, nothing more. All of that said, I couldn’t care less what a pack of traitors has to say. It’s just unfortunate they’ve been given as much attention as they have. At this point, they’re best left forgotten save for the occasional point and laugh post.

Rick Hogaboam was everything we want our political leaders to be. He was a husband, a father, a dedicated public servant, and a good man. All Idaho joins the people of Nampa in mourning his loss and praying for his family.

The funny thing about people who are new to politics is they always think they’re the one with the “gotcha” that will take down their opponent. Everyone thinks they’re an innovator and that rarely turns out to be the case. I’ve been in this arena long enough to have received dumb threats like this so many times I’ve lost count, most of those threats have come from much more serious adversaries than what I encounter on this platform, and they never come from anyone whose opinion I value or respect. And specifically here in Idaho, there is a long list of establishment shills that have attempted to destroy IFF since 2009, and every one of them has failed (and relatedly those that were elected officials are mostly out of office now). But you go girls, I’m sure just ONE MORE TWEET is gonna get it done!

I’m not sure what the current count is, but I’ve done some analysis of the voter file in recent weeks and think the statewide crossover number is in the neighborhood of 30,000 to 40,000 Democrats who have engaged in this behavior over the last few years. They can definitely impact primary elections.

The most infuriating part is that people who stand on principle and refuse to grin and bear the betrayal are already getting blamed and lectured. "You must vote for the lesser of two evils" and all that BS. Voting for federal candidates may be a waste of time, but principled people can't give up on state and local elections - especially the primaries.

Exactly. Neither situation is good and there is still a ton of work to do to shift this state in the right direction. But fortunately the serious groups doing this kind of work can focus their resources on talking to voters about legislator voting records and policy issues without needing to explain memes and faction fights. So I guess that’s the silver lining. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@brandendurst Considering they are actively negotiating with Democrats on legislation, I have to assume at this point that giving Dems what they want is the plan.

I was told to just be patient. That "they" were working on something. It's March 17. Not a single thing has been done to address reapportionment. This is a total failure. I know I'm just screaming into the void here, but when Democrats push to draw a favorable congressional seat, I'll point back to this tweet.

She is flailing. Cook is right on this issue. I have no problem saying that. None. Meanwhile, Phil Hart is trying to grow government and make a full time Legislature all because Lauren wants a job. Seriously. (But she doesn't think about us.)
