@BenColeyGolf Exactly that they’ve gone to Australia and SA both home to great national champions and behaved like golf didn’t exist before they showed up. The key to the success is them bringing big names which is driven by money and nothing else.

@HeathlandBlog indeed. I can totally understand why this means a lot to them but Louis, who wept when he won the SA Open, has managed to go the whole week without mentioning it as far as I can tell. Some effort given you'd think it might be somewhat comparable.

I have time to play two (2) London heathland courses solo on a Wed pm and Thurs am in early August near LHR. I’ve played the following: Sunningdale New and Old, Swinley Forest, St. George’s Hill, Walton Heath Old and Huntercombe. Early favorites; The Addington, Worplesdon, New Zealand, Woking and The Berkshire. Any thoughts or opinions? I know in advance that Woking has (4 ball) restrictions on guest play. 🙏 in advance for opinions and insight.

The comparison to the NFL has to stop. In the 50’s there were 10 games In 1961 they went to 14 In 1978 they went to 16 In 2021 they went to 17 They have expanded the playoffs multiple times They are discussing an 18 game schedule. They used to play Sunday. Then added Monday, and then Thursday, despite the physical toll the short weeks take on players. They used to play in just home stadiums, now they play in Europe, South America, and soon Australia. Again, despite experts pointing out the physical toll it takes on their players. They ONLY reason they have “scarcity” is because playing all year would literally kill their athletes. I promise you they wouldn't shrink by choice. x.com/mrmckee/status…
