Perhaps a contentious take, but I still find it bemusing Callum McGregor opted to retire from international football at 31. In the absence of Billy Gilmour against Greece on Saturday, we will lack a top class midfielder with the ability to dictate play from deep. Andy Robertson and John McGinn only a year younger. Surely McGregor will regret this decision should we qualify for the World Cup.
