@Jonatha14410794@gailcweiner@SoFloDoge In what world do you get UBI and not work?
So:
Unemployed+UBI=basic needs are met
Employed+UBI=can start paying off debts/saving
@gailcweiner@SoFloDoge It’s actually much worse than that. If in fact goods and services are mass produced for cheap we are going to have consumption quotas. Being rich will be living in a one bedroom loft and being poor will be living in a mansion and having to wear 12 Rolexes everyday
Let’s unpack UBI for a moment.
No it will not just be handed to you.
It will barely enough to pay rent and buy basic groceries, that’s it. The rich will enjoy restaurants, holidays and travel.
Before qualifying for UBI, dependent on your strength, you will either be shipped to work in a data centre or enrolled in the military.
If you disagree with the government your UBI will be removed, perhaps you will only qualify for UBI if you agree to have four children.
This is beyond dystopian.
@TexasLucha@itsmorganariel Do you think UBI is free houses? What the fuck are you talking about?
This is Compton. $500 a month. Obviously not a lot. Debts were paid, some eviction stress alleviated, less spending more saving.
Not perfect but not a failure
@Hebyep@itsmorganariel No, you’re wrong. The studies showed after 2 years the people’s free houses were in squalor and dirty roach infested buildings. There is no study showing it worked.
@Hebyep@stepfanie You are so sad and delusional if you think the reason they are all successful is because they all took "daddy's money". I pity your low existence and self belief.
If you hate billionaires, go all the way, pussy.
Ditch the iPhone, the laptop, the tablet.
Get off the internet.
No Amazon, no big box stores, no Starbucks.
Grow your own food. Thrift your clothes. Walk everywhere.
And obviously no working for, buying from, or interacting with any company that scales beyond a farmers market.
Enjoy your abundance.
@Hebyep@stepfanie No not true again, just look at any list & you will see the majority are self made. bloomberg.com/billionaires/ You think everyone just happens to have life easier than you do, & didn't have to work extremely hard. They just got "lucky" & it's easy to create a billion dollar company.
@wolfswut777@stepfanie Of course they all wanna say they're self made. Even Musk has to admit he took $50k from his father (though cmon now, cmon...). You think everyone with a great idea can ask daddy for $50k. Once again Chipotle founder was given $80k by daddy.
Why are you being so obtuse??
@wolfswut777@stepfanie Okay, so you're gonna disregard everything I said and just link a site with a list of people that started with money. And once again 'self-made' just means founded or co-founded a company. Not that they earned every single penny from scratch. Take the Chipotle example I gave.
@wolfswut777@stepfanie I won't be disingenuous. Steve Ells didn't start with 100mn. He got $85k from his father.
Do you not understand how many people don't have even that advantage?
