@ZachGulergunMD Not to mention that for the VAST majority of your career (after training) no one asks you about your scores.

A friendly reminder that your board scores are only a number. They do not define you and they do not reflect your ability to become a thriving physician. Passion/motivation, compassion, proactivity, resilience, and an open mind will get you much farther. @BrianSuttererMD Either he's incredibly confident or Rodgers found someone else to clear him. I can't think of anyone who would put their reputation on the line with such an early clearance and risk for re-injury. My guess is they "clear" him for "full" activity but won't actually give him that

I’m sorry but I can’t believe that if you put Dr ElAttrache on a lie detector test he would say he has no concerns and is cool with Rodgers playing football 3 months out from an Achilles rupture. It’s not like he’s been sitting on this medical marvel of rapid Achilles treatment for years and just never told anyone
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles 79 days ago. Today, Jets’ HC Robert Saleh said Rodgers has been cleared for “functional football activity”.

You can't quite get a sense of the scale but it's pretty impressive when 200lb Great Dane come strolling in the office 🦮🐾🦴 For those who are curious, he did not do any big stretches or yawns, he like head pats, and he was the goodest boy. (Posted with permission from owner)

@BrianSuttererMD Would be interesting to see a regression between "treatment time" and player salary for any given injury... I assume a strong direct correlation, whereas the same correlation for healing time is probably not there.

@BrianSuttererMD At that level, definitely over treating. So much of it is just temprizing symptoms to try to get them back on the field/court, etc, not necessarily "healed"... which at least partially explains frequency of re-injury.

Do we ‘over rehab’ elite athletes with modalities? Like, does the ‘around the clock treatment’ and whatever that small tool was massaging on his ankle really make a difference or are we just treating ourselves? AT and PT friends help me out here

For MVP @PatrickMahomes, it’s the @Chiefs training staff who are the real MVPs 👏 Quarterback streaming now on @netflix

Got this as a graduation gift. Should I use it or just keep it clean in my office?

The weirdest thing about physiotherapy is that, often, the better you are a it, the less patients feel like they actually need you.

Note the hypoechoic signal, thickening, loss of fibrilar patterns, and mixed echo texture of the injured ligament on the right.

@nursekelsey Not even focusing on the body. Do something physical every day. Very few off days, but definitely do “light days.”Consistency is by far the biggest factor in long term success

Listening to the NPR story on the lab-grown wolly-mammoth-meat meatball and one of the scientists said, “Much like in Jurassic Park, we had to fill in the DNA gaps…” and well, I feel like maybe they didn’t take the right lesson from that movie.
