First Lady Bibi @AseefaBZ and Chairman PPP @BBhuttoZardari met with Mr. Mohammad Saif Al-Sowaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), in Doha. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for enhancing investment cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar, particularly in energy, infrastructure and technology sectors. The First Lady appreciated QIA’s growing portfolio in Pakistan and welcomed its interest in expanding partnerships that could contribute to sustainable economic development and job creation. Mr. Al-Sowaidi reaffirmed QIA’s commitment to exploring new opportunities for collaboration and strengthening economic ties between the two brotherly countries.

Had an interactive discussion, along with Pakistan’s HL delegation, with the Egmont, the Royal Institute of International Relations in Brussels, where the rule of law still matters. Shared how India’s “new abnormal” under Modi justifies missile strikes and nuclear brinkmanship, no proof and on mere suspicion, violating Pakistan’s sovereignty, recklessly firing BrahMos missiles at civilian infrastructure. Expressed deep concern over India’s illegal suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, collective punishment of 240M Pakistanis, cloaked in the rhetoric of “terrorism.” Despite provocations, Pakistan has exercised restraint, fulfilled FATF reforms, and partners with the EU, US & UK on countering terrorism, all of whom recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices and concrete actions against terrorism, while India rejects dialogue, mediation, and even evidence. This isn’t just a regional issue, it strikes at the heart of the global rules-based order, human rights, and climate security. #PakistanForPeace

Through tears and trials, she carried the torch of democracy forward with unmatched dignity.
