Comparison not only slows you down. It also makes your journey miserable. Run your race!

Real positivity isn’t soft. It’s strong. It’s resilience and mental toughness. It’s overcoming negativity and adversity. It’s seeing all the crap in the world and choosing a positive attitude and a path forward.

The best educators still remember what it felt like to be a kid. They have carried that inner child with them, the curiosity, the laughter, and the hope, and it shows in everything they do. They “smile before Christmas”, they have fun, they laugh with their students, and they build strong connections. They do not just teach content. They inspire, they lift, they believe, and they see the heart behind every child. They are inspirational, aspirational, motivational, and deeply empathetic. These are my favorite teachers, the ones who make kids feel known, valued, and forever changed. Name a teacher like this (one of your own former teachers or a current colleague).

When we slow down and allow others to help us, chances are, we will get a better result when the time comes to make a decision. Sometimes we need to remember to ask for help. Leadership was never meant to be a committee of one.

The cure for envy and jealousy is gratitude. Instead of focusing on what others have you’ll find peace by being thankful for the gifts you’ve been given. This doesn’t mean you don’t strive for more. It just means you appreciate what you have in this moment!

Educator friends 🍎 As you head into the final weeks… No doubt these are some of the best days of the school year but when behaviors increase, some students shut down and others look for every reason to stay at school, that’s a form of communication. The reality is summer can be a very lonely time, with a lot of unknowns for many kids. Continue to lead with love. Have fun but give grace ✨
