@mightnotsleep These guys don't even give you a nice backhand anymore they just make you insecure about every inch of your body

@CoreyLewis86 I concede that what we're actually going to get is probably going to be a slap in the face after all of the hyping, and the promotional material, and the concepts, and the patent leaking. It will power an electric drivetrain like a diesel-electric train if we're lucky.
English

@Heir___Apparent Unfortunately I think the rotary engine will only manifest itself in products such as the MX-30 which is a complete flop. Would you want it, as rotary enjoyer?

English

Please stop wasting your money on rotary. It's a loser all-round.

Rotary fans. This is for you.

@undonnno What do you mean it’s vague bro just click the tweet bro. And then scroll through the comments when there’s nothing in the tweet. And then just keep scrolling until you figure it out it’s not that hard bro just give more precious limited minutes of life to the app bro that’s all.

Yall never gonna guess who this is about…

@CoreyLewis86 I would rather see Mazda build one last line of actually unique combustion cars before they get turned into another Stellantis dumping ground than piddle into the same fate in five more years with a fleet of hybridized, turbocharged, 2.0 inline fours.
English

@Heir___Apparent They're more likely to be bought out by a conglomerate when they are in a poor cash position from spending millions on rotary crap.
English

@CoreyLewis86 Any automotive manufacturer, especially one that still makes combustion cars, is going to be absorbed by a conglomerate sooner or later. If they got bought out in two years, would you be surprised?
And I do mean that modern cars are urbane, like a butler with no sense of humor.
English

@Heir___Apparent Man seeks for Mazda to remain independent, which requires money.
And that's not what urbane means.
English

@swordgunlimited For some reason everyone likes to just pretend they don't have any agency when it comes to this. Are we all adults who are expected to feed and clothe ourselves and drive and vote and raise children or are we a bunch of infantile creatures who are incapable of choice?
English

90% of what delicious tacos posts is cognito hazard bullshit based on anecdotal evidence acquired from the New York City population of casanovas, whores, and just generally the least committal "young" culture that exists. If you're not in that scene it's completely irrelevant.

@1Percenterer @Champ__the__dog @ProtoSileaus In sims and video games the first thing I do to any manual car is crank the final drive ratio. It can absolutely transform a car. The first big thing I would invest in for anything like a Porsche 911 or a Dodge Viper or anything of that nature is changing gearing!
English

@1Percenterer @Champ__the__dog @ProtoSileaus You will toodle about in 2nd everywhere and 3rd takes you to jail. They're geared to VMAX as quickly as possible on the Autobahn. In a lower hp, rear engined car this is especially frustrating because the rear tires have more than enough grip to handle super low, short ratios
English

The base 911 Carrera of the 997 generation.
And still one of the best.
Over 300 hp, naturally aspirated flat-six and a proper manual.
That’s all you really need if you're not looking to be the lightning fast goer.
Compared to newer cars like the 992, this feels smaller, lighter and not bloated.
You don’t need the Turbo or GT3 to enjoy it, you might even find yourself enjoying this more because you can use all the power.
That’s why it holds its value, plus its the better version of the 996.
Not underrated, but correctly appreciated and overpriced.
This is from 911obsessed, their Porsche 911 997.2 Carrera.
English

@almalmusi @1Percenterer 991's EPAS was a total mess when it came out, I've been told the .1 GT3's were looping machines
English

@1Percenterer You didn't even mention it's the last one with hydraulic steering. This is what actually makes a difference in day to day driving. You feel the difference even going around town at slow speeds.
English

@1Percenterer These cars are so pretty and so simple in every aspect. Really good size too. Shame they're never going to devalue the way 911's used to, these will always be taken care of and squirreled away in the off season like collectibles
English

@Champ__the__dog @ProtoSileaus @1Percenterer Would I still get the manual? Yes, I'm a dickhead like you. Is the PDK lowkey more engaging in some situations? Yes, because German engineers are fools.
English

@Champ__the__dog @ProtoSileaus @1Percenterer You're not really doing that much work shifting a Porsche box on a backroad though unless you're in one of the much older cars (and they absolutely MUST NOT be a turbo model). Every Porsche transmission from 993 onwards is geared so tall that you never leave 2nd 95% of the time
English

@ProtoSileaus @1Percenterer This is only the case because Porsche six speeds are geared so annoyingly tall that the PDK feels way more rapid and free. You have more gears to work with in different situations
English

@1Percenterer I know you love manuals, but once you’ve experienced the witchcraft that is PDK, you’ll never want a manual again
