@beccamale @kariebookish @RuthSalter @AnnaDKonig @UofGknitting We have it so often with embroidery also. If part of a group, we sometimes offer to finish the embroidery for the persons loved ones as a final gift but also as a mark of deep respect and a process of contemplation and mourning.

@RuthSalter @kariebookish @AnnaDKonig @UofGknitting It was the unfinished knits that got me - I've seen it with two grandmothers and it'll probably happen with my own mum. A physical representation of grief's incompleteness and something more universal to intergenerational knitters than I previously realised.
