@RCOTNYRegion #OTalk important to be able to be both, in different situations. I don't think you can control whether others are inspired by you, but you can get things done.

@RCOTNYRegion #OTalk Passion is complex. If you need others to come on board, you need to know more about how people tick (a skill) and how to spread passion. It is possible to lead as a one-person crusade, in which case it would have to be your passion that keeps you motivated.

@RCOTNYRegion #OTalk I agree that a manager is not necessarily a leader, but I was once appointed to a grade higher than I had been interviewed for (didn't read the small print) and found myself up to my neck in leadership expectations. it only took 9 years, but I think I cracked it!

So grateful to have been awarded a grant from @ElizabethCasso1 towards my Masters studies starting in September. At 63, their recognition I still have things to learn and offer to the OT profession is truly appreciated.

@OTalk_ Rather than focus on labels (styles, needs, preferences), shouldn't we be learning/teaching how to articulate what we want?

Myself and my (practice) research team are looking at talking to individuals in retirement to explore the transition from working to retirement and its affect on routine / occupation. If you or anyone you know would be interested, please message me and I can provide more info! 💚
