Today we celebrate 100 years of Women's Football in Australia & acknowledge our past & present pioneers in the game. @hufcwarriors started their women’s program in 1978 & my aunt was in the inaugural team. I am proud to be continuing her legacy as Head of Women’s Football.

The overwhelming winner of the 2025 NPLW Victoria player’s player of the year is the late Keely Lockhart of Heidelberg United. Vale.

If you’re following the #VoiceReferendum telecasts tonight, witches, you’ll know that with Antony Green now calling both Tasmania and New South Wales for the NO camp, it’s almost certain that the referendum will fail. We’re sorry to bring you this bad news, witches. We’re sorry for the 83 percent of Indigenous people who badly wanted (and needed) the referendum to succeed. We’re so sorry for all the campaigners who worked so hard for so many weeks to make this small and necessary change to Australia’s constitution. And we’re so sorry that our media and the LNP politicians they own have got what they wanted, just as they so often get what they want in this country using manipulation, lies, hatred, racism and a complete lack of decency and fairness. Australia will never be a better place until we change our media, so this horrific propaganda and hatred can never happen in this way again. So we ask you not to be too discouraged or devastated tonight, witches. Let this fire you up to do more to fix what’s wrong. Fire you up to do more to fight for equity for women and for all oppressed people. And fire you up to understand that these problems are complex but they are fixable, if enough people fight hard enough to make the changes necessary. We’re determined to keep doing this work, with your help and your enthusiasm and your solidarity. Let’s fucking go. #ToYourBrooms

I think quite a lot about the male doctor who confidently told me when I was about 18 the excruciating period pain I suffered and that he refused to treat would fix itself “when I had a baby” and about how wild it is that women’s suffering is so often tied to some masculine fantasy of us as mothers rather than as actual humans …
