After analysing data from 23 studies, Guideline criteria generated a global prevalence of 6.3%, vs. 9.8% on Rotterdam criteria (including Polycystic Ovarian Morphology (PCOM)). Excluding PCOM, which overlaps with normal pubertal transition, is expected to deter over-diagnosis.
