🚨🎙️ Thierry Henry on Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance against DR Congo
“I knew this was coming the moment Messi scored a hat-trick.
The next day Ronaldo comes onto the pitch looking like he has something to prove to the whole world. Too many touches, too many shots, trying to force everything. Sometimes football is simple, but he makes it about himself.
Portugal have a very good team, but if every attack has to end with Ronaldo trying to answer Messi, then the team will suffer. Just look at how many attacks broke down because somebody was trying too hard.
Honestly, if Portugal want to win something important, the coach needs to make difficult decisions. You cannot build a team around emotions and social media rivalries.
It’s a shame because Portugal are better when they play as a team, not when they’re trying to help one player keep up with Messi.”

Wayne Rooney on Ronaldo fans flooding Bruno Fernandes' Instagram after the DR Congo match:
🗣️ “I honestly think some people have completely lost their heads over this situation. The reaction I've seen online over the last twenty-four hours has been absolutely unbelievable for something that happens in football matches every single week.”
“Bruno Fernandes is getting attacked simply because Cristiano Ronaldo didn't receive every single pass people wanted him to receive. That's not football analysis anymore that's pure emotion taking over common sense.”
“I've seen thousands and thousands of comments telling Bruno to pass more to Ronaldo, respect Ronaldo, and remember who Ronaldo is. As if Bruno Fernandes somehow needs reminding about the importance of the greatest player in Portugal's history.”
“The funny thing is that if Bruno forced every attack towards Ronaldo, ignored better options, and Portugal ended up losing the match, those exact same people would be the first ones blaming him for not making the correct football decisions.”
“Football does not work like social media. Players don't have the luxury of stopping for five seconds to think about what supporters want. They have to make split-second decisions in real time under enormous pressure.”
“What annoys me the most is seeing people question Bruno's respect for Ronaldo. Bruno has publicly defended him, supported him, admired him, and shared a dressing room with him for years. Nobody can seriously question that relationship.”
“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers who has ever lived. His achievements speak for themselves and nobody with football knowledge is denying that reality.”
“But some fans have reached a point where they act as if every Portugal attack should revolve around one player regardless of the situation, and that is simply not how elite football works at the highest level.”
“Portugal have talented players all over the pitch. Bruno's responsibility is to help Portugal win football matches, not spend ninety minutes trying to satisfy expectations from social media.”
“The pressure Bruno is receiving right now is completely unfair because people are judging every touch, every pass, and every decision through the lens of Ronaldo instead of through the lens of what is best for Portugal.”
“And if Portugal players ever start making decisions based on what fan accounts and comment sections want instead of what the game itself demands, then Portugal will have much bigger problems than anything that happened against DR Congo.”

🚨Bruno Fernandes on how Portugal treats Cristiano Ronaldo inside the national team:
🗣️ “People always ask me what Cristiano Ronaldo is like inside the Portugal camp. The truth is, for us, he is much more than just our captain or our biggest star.
He is the player who carried Portuguese football to places nobody thought possible.
He gave this country belief.
He gave this country trophies.
And he inspired an entire generation of players.
When Cristiano walks into the dressing room, everybody notices.
Not because he demands attention, but because of the respect he has earned over more than twenty years at the highest level.
There have been games where players were exhausted, struggling physically, but the moment Cristiano needed support, everyone found extra energy.
I’ve seen teammates run the length of the pitch to defend him.
I’ve seen players stand up for him in difficult moments because they know everything he has done for Portugal.
People outside football may not understand it, but when you share a dressing room with Cristiano, you don’t just want to win for Portugal.
You also want to win for him.
For many of us, seeing him lift another trophy would be something special because we know how much he has sacrificed for this country.
And honestly, inside the Portugal dressing room, Cristiano isn’t treated like a superstar.
He’s treated like a legend.
A player who changed the history of Portuguese football forever.
For many Portuguese players, Cristiano Ronaldo is as close to football royalty as we will ever see.”

🇫🇷 Zack Nani defends Cristiano Ronaldo and blames his Portugal teammates for that performance at the World Cup:
🗣️ “The starting lineup with Bernardo Silva, to begin with, I thought was wrong. Then individually, there were players who simply didn't turn up. Nuno Mendes didn't. Bruno Fernandes didn't. Bernardo Silva didn't. Poor performances across the board. A complete non-performance. You can say the same about Cristiano too. Cristiano touched the ball 30 times.
Honestly, this is my opinion. Ronaldo couldn't have done much more. Cristiano is a finisher at the end of the chain. For a finisher at the end of the chain, the ball has to reach him. Did the ball reach him many times in this match? Twice. The cutback where Bruno was behind him, maybe he should have left it. And the second time, he's in the right place, he shoots, and a defender blocks it.
And I'm not saying this because I'm pro-Cristiano Ronaldo. He had an average game, he didn't play well. But Cristiano Ronaldo is at the end of the chain. The problems are earlier in the creative process.
The issues start long before him. He's 41 years old now, he's not the old CR7 anymore, we all know that. You use him as a number nine. And in that role, I think if you put Haaland there, it would be the same. A striker of that profile wouldn't touch more balls, wouldn't get more service, and wouldn't be able to do much either. I don't think he would have done any better.
Haaland is a player who needs to be supplied. And here you can clearly see that the service is the problem. The service is very poor. And I think the starting line-up was completely wrong.”

@centregoals @Cristiano this guy is a failed coach and a bitter pundit,he is in no position to advice Ronaldo

Spain drew to Cape Verde
Brazil drew to morroco
Belgium drew to Egypt
But cristiano Ronaldo is limiting Portugal because Portugal drew to DR Congo🤡
Banter is part of the game, but when you hide under been an analyst to hate on one of the greatest footballer still playing at top level at age 41, that unacceptable.
Thierry Henry is still living in the past, he can never get to the level of cristiano Ronaldo.

@Footballtweet God forbid, failed Belgium, not good for Portugal, bring Mourinho let him coach this team throughout this World Cup.

🚨 Roberto Martinez reportedly began talks over a potential deal to become Al Nassr's new manager, before the start of the World Cup. 🤯👀
Some Portugal supporters are furious and claim this is the reason Cristiano Ronaldo has remained a starter throughout the tournament because he could become his club coach next season. 😭🇵🇹

Piers Morgan: “Ronaldo bu pozisyonda dört kişiyi kendi üstüne çekti. Premier Lig’in sözde ‘en yaratıcı’ orta sahası ne yaptı? Topu defalarca rakibe verdi.
