As Editor-in-Chief, i'm genuinely so proud of the platform that we've created, & the most amazing group of editors on my board. They continually blow me away with how hard they work & how engaged they are. They deserve all the recognition #AccessMicro #Publishingforthecommunity

Open Science and transparent peer review are great to make science more open and honest. @MicrobioSoc has a wonderful platform called Access Microbiology, which does exactly that. It will also accept replication studies and negative results. microbiologyresearch.org/content/journa… /

The initiative by Access Microbiology to collect and publish negative results in the field of microbiology is a very important and valuable contribution towards unbiassed science. Kudos to @MicrobioSoc !

Despite their importance, negative results often go unpublished, leading to duplication of efforts, biassed meta-analyses, and ethical concerns regarding animal and human studies

@PetplanUK And you claim increase in the costs of veterinary medicine - are you going to increase the pay out limit of my plan to encompass that? For a company that I have consistently recommended, I’m appalled.

@HelinaEMarshall Hi HelinaEMarshall i'm sorry to hear this is how you feel. Premiums increase due to factors that increase the overall cost of treating pets such as advancements in veterinary medicine or the cost of treating certain breeds or older pets, but what we won’t do is suddenly hike 1/2

@PetplanUK I’m fully aware of all those factors, but at almost £900/year for my 4 year old medium-sized dog - what on earth are you going to charge me when they’re 8?! As I said, it’s prices like these that are driving people to abandoning their animals. Truly shocking.
