🚨 KAROLINE LEAVITT is SMOKING Jimmy Kimmel from the White House after he called Melania Trump an "expectant widow"
ABC HAS to put an end to this BS.
"Who in their right mind says a wife would be 'glowing' over the potential murder of her beloved husband?!
"And having experienced what I did with the First Lady on Saturday night, I can tell you that she was ANYTHING but that. This kind of rhetoric about the president, the first lady, and his supporters is completely DERANGED, and it's unbelievable that the American people are consuming it night after night after night"
English

Try going on Disney owned ABC and saying that Michelle Obama deserves to be a widow.
Or Jill Biden. Or Hillary Clinton.
You’d not only have your show canceled, you’d be banned from network media for life.
And I’d agree with that. Because wishing death on a woman’s husband is an evil thing to do.
No matter the politics. So why is it ok for @Disney owned @ABC to allow Jimmy Kimmel to wish death on Trump and his supporters time and time again?
It’s not. It’s indefensible. Fire Jimmy Kimmel. Enough.
English

Incredible cognitive dissonance.
Liberals: only we are for Canada. Our political adversaries are against Canada.
Also Liberals: Canada is a systemically racist white settler society built on stolen land that is guilty of both historic and active genocide. That’s why we lowered the national flag for half a year, and have cancelled entire aspects of our history.
Paul Vieira@paulvieira
It doesn't matter what we propose, "those guys are against Canada and Canadians," says Liberal minister Patty Hajdu, when questioned by Tory lawmakers about growing deficit spending.
English

@ianhanomansing Could they see the war in action?
Use of toilets and lack of gravity...how did that work?
English

@jkenney @PierrePoilievre @CPC_HQ Ok, ok. We know that. But there is more to unpack. He's toxic to the Conservatives. And the caucus doesn't have the balls to say it nor do anything about it. So, the chirping continues , doesn't it. Your grave.
English

The pundits chirping about @PierrePoilievre’s leadership of the @CPC_HQ seem to forget that he just won 87% in a leadership review vote.
Under his leadership a year ago, the Conservative Party won by far the largest number of votes in its history, and the highest share of popular vote since 1988.
He has expanded the Conservative coalition in important ways, and has been perhaps the most effective opposition leader in modern Canadian history, driving Justin Trudeau out of office, and defining the key issues in national politics for most of his tenure.
I have been critical (constructively, I hope) about some aspects of his leadership, including the admittedly difficult problem of how to deal with the destabilizing threats and uncertainty emanating from Donald Trump.
But I am encouraged to see Mr. Poilievre modifying his approach to address lessons learned from the last election, e.g. his recent trips abroad, and a broader approach to communications.
There is no doubt in my mind that he has the confidence of the Conservative Party, and has won the right to contest the next election.
And to the small number of Conservatives who might be sceptical, I ask them how the party benefits from the constant internal strife of changing leaders? What message would it send to Canadians to have a seventh leader (including interims) since 2015?
IMO the Liberal majority should be seen by Conservatives as an opportunity to:
- demonstrate the maturity and discipline expected of a government in waiting;
- focus on offering constructive ideas that address Canada’s deep challenges, as opposed to a perennially angry clickbait oppositional approach;
- recruit talented candidates with senior private sector and government leadership experience who can help present a team that’s ready to govern;
- demonstrate that Conservatives do not regard the Trump phenomenon as a distraction to be downplayed, but a serious and disruptive threat to our sovereignty and prosperity to be addressed head-on;
- have the courage to lead responsibly on difficult issues, like the need for root and branch reform of the broken immigration system; promoting the duty of newcomers to integrate; reversing the woke denigration of Canada’s historically grounded identity and institutions, etc; challenging the growing abuse of judicial power in the criminal justice system, etc.;
- clearly demonstrate that ours is the party of Confederation by helping to lead the fight for national unity against potential secession referenda in Alberta & Quebec.
Canadians want and deserve a serious opposition that fulfils its constitutional duty to offer an alternative government. IMO, that means maintaining strong, stable, patriotic leadership that can learn from past mistakes, while building with confidence.
English

@MelissaLantsman Get some balls, Melissa. Turf your leader. You know he's toxic.
English

You voted. You made your voice heard. And now, behind closed doors, politicians who decided their ambition mattered more than your choice traded your vote away like a bargaining chip.
And while the Prime Minister was busy engineering that deal, your groceries and gas got more expensive, your rent went up and day to day, everything gets more expensive. Canada now carries more debt than at any point in our history, with the fastest shrinking economy in the G7.
They’re counting on you to feel defeated. To walk away. To let them govern without ever having to answer to you again.
Don’t.
Your family deserves affordable food, a home they can live in and one day own, and streets where they feel safe. Canada’s workers, those in uniform, and everyone trying to do better than the last generation deserve a government that respects them.
We’re not going anywhere.
And neither should you.
English

@JinglaiHe Should've got rid of PP when you had the chance. Two big doors opened with the opportunity and yet, CPC kept him. How can the rest of the country not think the CPC is made up of fools?
English

@MicahGreen01 @PierrePoilievre Congratulations. Honesty from PP would be nice. He can cut the BS. Really, though, he's toxic. Good luck to you.
English

I'm excited to share that I’ve been promoted to serve as Director of Communications to @PierrePoilievre.
I’m grateful for the opportunity and for the trust that’s been placed in me.
I’m lucky to continue the incredible work of those who held the job before me. Thank you to @BenWoodfinden for his support and confidence. And a special shoutout to @katy_merrifield for her leadership, guidance, and the example she set in this role. I learned a great deal from Katy, and I’m very grateful for her friendship and support.
Now let's get to work holding @MarkJCarney to account.
English

@xtremeleafan @BertaMemes 142 CPC members voted No. Only 3 voted Yes. Otherwise, only NDP voted Yes, all others (Liberals, Block and Green) voted No.
English

@BertaMemes PP caused this. Wake up. Find the root cause of the issue. It's PP.
English

@ABDanielleSmith Are you kidding me with this? Left-Wing politics? Trump and his Right-Wing crap surely have played a huge role in what the Global economy is experiencing, no?
English

To the next generation: speak up and stand up for what you believe.
More and more young Canadians are rejecting left wing politics that try to tell them what to think. They want the freedom to think for themselves, build a future, and actually get ahead.
They are tired of rising costs, out of reach housing, and a system that is not working for them.
In Alberta, we are fixing that with lower taxes, less government, more homes, and stronger job opportunities.
I was proud to share that message with a great group of young people at the Campus Conservative Association of Calgary.

English

@MichelleLA1981 Another one parroting PP's chirping points. When will you all realize that PP drove 4 seats away single-handedly. Get rid of PP. His fault Liberals now have Majority!
English

@PierrePoilievre Thank you for single-handedly giving the Liberals their majority. You are the reason your own caucus lost 4 seats. Poof!
And speaking of backroom deals, how did you get that seat from Alberta again?
English

The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them.
While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7.
Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for.
We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel.
We will continue to fight for safety in our streets.
We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers.
I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.
English

@TrollingCanuck Well, if you need that kind of explanation, you are exactly what is considered the Base of CPC.
English

@johnrbolton01 I suspect she actually cast her vote for PP as PM. Not Gladu.
English

My sister just contacted me from Sarnia. Gladu is her MP... she voted for her as a Conservative. Very upset.

English

Democracy is a thing of the past in Canada. Our votes don't count, as evidenced by 5 floor crossings in the last 3 months.
Here in Alberta, a handful of natives are trying to stop the petition.
Do something about it. Come sign the petition, and bring a friend. I'll be at my usual location starting around 12:30 today.
