Just here briefly to rave about the service I received on @JetstarAirways flight BNE -> MEL JQ565 on Thurs AM. My body was DONE with travel. My accessibility needs were all met within a moments notice. I had a wheelchair waiting on the tarmac to take us to baggage collection.

@JessHealyWalton Disability pride 💀 Being proud of anything beyond personal achievements is irrational, and being proud of personal disadvantages is straight up delusional. Intentionally under- or overplaying the disadvantages a disabled person has, is just plain evil in my opinion.

@Daxasaur Fkn a motorbike parked BEHIND ME in a disabled spot one time. I might just go onto the footpath next time! Brrrm This was a mixed business area where ♿️ parking is rare AF. Go read google maps elsewhere

@HelloRachyy I've had to tell off multiple delivery scooter people for parking in the one disabled parking spot at my "corner" shop

Tonight I was running late to meet a friend and fucks were thin on the ground so yes I DID beep a cab sitting in a disabled park with their hazard lights on. They may have been picking up a disabled passenger but I don’t think that means he can sit in a ♿️ park?

Ridiculous flight attendant on Tiktok saying <starts with L> requested he speak to her assistant. It was bus. MEL -> SYD. L didn’t want food or drinks Flight attendant considered it his job to continue to address L directly. I wonder if his feelings will join the ppl suing?

@normal_ness I use it for family and friends and group chats But looking at my Facebook updates from people gives me a huge ick now lololol (or anger) I used to be a 1 post a day person and now I haven't posted in over a year.

@normal_ness Yep I think they did well to open it up - unlike bluesky which took months for invites to roll out. I think social media is just saturated. I don't use FB as social media (chat only!) so I can use both but I can see why all the new things, such as Mastodon aren't doing well.

I’m seeing these tap handles at fancy places and my hands CANNOT use them. I understand fashion over function at times. This is not the time. There would be other people with disabilities or issues with their hands that would struggle with these #accessibility
