Completed my first unit on Carousel Teaching @Carousel_Learn and have now prepared my department CPD. It is not only making me a better teacher, it is also making me a better leader.

This is something I am incredibly proud of.
Working in a turnaround school is tough and whilst we do not work for Ofsted, it is amazing to have our hard work recognised.
Every single member of the school community has worked so hard over the past three years to achieve this.

Today I placed a box of tissues on my desk and Andy's Man Club was on the box. A powerful reminder to all young male students it is okay not to be okay. Reading of another male tragedy makes you realise we need to do more. We need to get young people talking and especially boys

Tonight was truly special. My interview lesson was with this year group. They showed me the true potential within a broken school, and came with me to transform it. What is truly special is that many have now achieved well enough to go to university and live great lives.

@GingaGill LAs get the fine money. If it’s not enough to cover cost, it should increase. Schools see none of that of course. When there is a fine, we find that child, and friends of this child attend better. After an attendance order, SPA children are back in. Look at our progress, it works
