@SelecaoTalk I'd hope to see Cunha play a role similar to what he is at United. He's more of a number 10 than a striker

João Pedro has failed to score in 8 games for Brazil and has struggled massively. Igor Thiago came in, impressed straight away and scored in his second game. This would have been a big factor in Ancelotti’s decision.

@InvertTheWing Rayan is phenomenal and a massive talent and Luiz Henrique is one of Ancelotti’s favourites. He’s totally changed numerous games off the bench in the last year on his own and Ancelotti sees him as his secret weapon. Luiz Henrique was a guaranteed name in the squad.

For anyone complaining about João Pedro, Ancelotti clearly didn’t think he did enough in the time he spent with him. João Pedro failed to score in all his 8 games for Brazil and looked well off the pace. Cunha is Ancelotti’s preferred no.9, due to his ability to press from the front. Last call-up Endrick and Igor Thiago both impressed, which swayed Ancelotti.

@Keschels23 I’m just thinking about the fallout from this, though, and I can’t see the relationship between them & him getting better. Because of some sensitive egos upstairs. So I kinda think this actually makes them lose leverage already.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I didn’t like how Enzo was moving but I definitely didn’t want him suspended. The club only has themselves to blame really. They signed a player who has ambition but doesn’t always show it in the most loyal way (Benfica exit). And they haven’t met his ambition…

He’s everything you taught your children not to be. You’d never work with him. You’d never work for him. You’d never do business with him. You’d never want to be friends with him. You’d never trust your wife or your daughter with him. Yet, this country put him in power. Twice.

@Blue_Footy To be a “box to box” you have to track back and be good at tracking back if you are word class…. 1. He doesn’t do it 2. If he did (which is irrelevant) he wouldn’t be good at it. He hurts us more than he helps us… he wants to be a 10. Sell and get a better 10 or a real 8

It seems everyone is happy how Enzo Fernandez played against Arsenal, especially on the ball but what of out of possession? I thought our midfield was too open especially in transition. Santos and Enzo aren't the quickest. For me, just like the Enzo I saw at Benfica and fell in love with, he's a box to box. Even at Benfica he wasn't the 6. For me, he can’t play as 6 at a high level out of possession for Rosenior, who uses the two players in the pivot as 6 and box to box. They play both roles simultaneously. Enzo is better as a box to box, with a stable 6 that concentrates specifically on his role. So, if Caicedo plays as 6 as he did under Maresca, Enzo can do box to box beside him. But the problem is that Rosenior doesn't use his pivot that way. I personally don't feel comfortable to see Enzo defending transition as the last line of midfield.

There is SO Much wrong with this post, and let's leave out the cheering for people losing jobs and the open disdain for journalism that has contributed to where we are as a country. But beyond all that: McAfee saying his show has zero creative say from journalists—I guess that's true, but he'd have very little to talk about without the work that in-the-field journalists do. Journalism basically programs his show, just like it does all opinion/talking head shows. Hey, @PatMcAfeeShow, if you hate sports journalists so much, see if you can go a week without citing or referencing a single report or story from a reporter. See how that goes.
Pat McAfee@PatMcAfeeShow

Love seeing these sports “journalists” getting ABSOLUTELY BURIED for being curmudgeon bums.. OBVIOUSLY NOT ALL OF THEM but a LARGE % of these things hate sports.. they hate what sports are for people (happiness).. They hate what sports are for society (unifier).. they’re political journalists by nature who’ve preyed on sports because they saw it as an easier path to “make it” Their days are numbered.. my show being broadcasted on ESPN 10 hours a week with ZERO creative say from any “journalism school” puppets is living proof of that.. that’s why they attack me as much as possible.. I’m happy the world is starting to see what they truly are. Now… We as a society have to stop taking these particular humans seriously. Their opinions and thoughts are coming from a place of wanting to destroy sports. Sports are the greatest thing on Earth, these motherfuckers have no idea… and will never get it. Also.. Thank you Lynn Jones for setting up a situation for me and all of us on how Liam Coen, a man who might be a 🐐 when he’s done, handles compliments during one of his most miserable moments. He handled it with class and humility.. feels like some journalism was actually done there.

What I would say to my fellow media members — and to the general public — is that if we’re going to have this much discourse about @JacksonvilleFP reporter Lynn Jones, the very least we could do is follow her publication on social media and subscribe. This is one of the few Black newspapers still in existence. Many of us have been local reporters and we know how challenging it is now for local papers to cover the news. So subscribe + follow as I just did jacksonvillefreepress.com
