You can also host your own instance so only you would have any transmitted data. Transparency with users of your service would be a good move in building trust in you and your product.

@GC_and_Tech I don't think it's called paranoia when you're right about it. 🤷‍♂️ Linix smartphone products like the Librem 5 and pinephone sport hardware kill switches, a trend I'm hoping Apple might pick up so high end android manufacturers copy them. Pipe dream I guess.

@Henaree Call me paranoid, but I have a hardware mute on my mic for when in meetings and when not in a meeting I disconnect both the cam and mic from the USB cable. Even in-between meetings!

Been getting into @Blender. Grabbed a @Raspberry_Pi model, stuck a transparent material on it, highlighted the edges to add a stroke and added a simple rotation animation to it. Pretty pleased with it. #raspberrypi #blender

@Peter4PRnow @NadiaWhittomeMP People could still choose other service providers. I support the idea of national net but I for one would go with a service provider of my choice that I would pay for. It's not like you can't have both. 🤷‍♂️

@NadiaWhittomeMP My broadband at home and at work, is provided by a community interest company, B4RN. A network originally built by volunteers. I find your plan to either remove their income or nationalise them deeply offensive.

You know what would’ve been really great for school kids right now? Universal free broadband.
