Absolutely spot on Steve. This is a story of teamwork from people who refused to stay silent. Back when I first dug into the paperwork and realised what had actually been done with those fraudulently sold swaps, I was physically sick with disbelief. The moment you understood the embedded break costs, the hidden mark-to-market losses & the deliberate asymmetry in the contracts… it was obvious. This wasn’t a mistake. It was systematic with banks walking away with enormous profits and then denying everything. And the most staggering part? Even after the scandal broke, even after the FCA in U.K. redress scheme, even after parliamentary scrutiny and whistleblower evidence… the Irish cases still dragged on. Denials continued. Falsehoods from regulators. Victims being stonewalled. Documents going missing. False pleadings before the Irish courts.
