Little River (8M-I) enters the 2025 season under the guidance of veteran head coach Kevin Ayers, who begins his seventh year with the Redskins holding a 58-13 record at the school and a 218-52 career mark. The team is coming off an 8-3 campaign and a third-round playoff appearance, returning a strong group of experienced players on both sides of the ball. The Redskins will return 7 starters on offense and 8 on defense. They return a big senior class of 7 with multiple standouts. Junior quarterback/running back/linebacker Jaren Garrison had a big sophomore year and will be a key returning rusher for the Redskins. Junior Jhet Ewertt returns as the leading tackler from the 2024 season after he averaged 8.7 tackles per game last year. The Redskins will also benefit from the return of Kelby Rice, who started on both lines as a sophomore before missing last season due to injury. With good numbers and a deep roster, Little River looks to build toward another deep postseason run. #sportsinkansas
