To all who said Elon hurt the brand. He built the brand, protected free speech, tried to save our/ taxpayers money from corrupt government and he value truth and principles over money. I wish our politicians had strong morals like him. You all complainers would sell your soul for money, he didn't.

Picked up a pizza order. As I walked out, an elderly couple was getting out of their new Tesla Model Y. I said, “Beautiful car.” He said, “Thank you. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned.” I said, “Why?” He said, “You see me—I’m 78 and can barely walk, let alone drive. I’m taking my wife out for date night again after 52 years of marriage. We couldn’t do this with our old car. I didn’t buy this to save the planet. I bought it to save me.” 😢 All choked up, I said, “Thank you for sharing. You two go enjoy your dinner!” I see and hear this so often from elderly people buying Teslas, but it never gets old. Tesla is freedom🫶🏻

@garyblack00 Obvious human error . A similar event happened to me. When on the curve , I got scared of the speed and touched the brake. That turned off FSD and the car will stop following the curve of the road. At this point you have to keep steering your vehicle . It's not Tesla's fault.

Intense debate continues online about the Fox News dashcam footage from an August 18, 2025 incident near Houston involving a mom with her infant in a $TSLA Cybertruck. The video shows the truck allegedly in Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode failing to follow a right-hand curve on the overpass, barreling straight ahead through traffic cones, and slamming into a concrete barrier instead of curving safely. Tesla has stated via Elon Musk that autopilot (or FSD?) was disengaged four seconds before impact. The victim is suing TSLA for $1 million. While we believe video logs will show that FSD (or autopilot) was in fact disengaged prior to the accident, the absence of an effective PR team at TSLA to put to rest media misstatements (here Fox News) is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals nationally later this year.
Fox News@FoxNews

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@elonmusk convinced me that Grok is most truth seeking , honest LML there is. I get used to trusting it, I know it hallucinates sometimes but it was my first pick. Today I realize for the first time how fuckin scarry this tools are . I ask questions about maybe trading in my 21 Tesla for a new one and Grok math was wrong on it. So I started correcting it and explained it to Grok why the math has no logic and why its calculation is wrong. The more I explained the more it tried to prove me wrong to the point I doubt myself. It fucking scared me how persistent and convincing Grok is even when is wrong. A simple math problem is no biggie but if it will be the same convincing and persistent to prove me wrong when the truth will be on my side to the point of second guessing my own tough process and gut feeling? I lost a lot of confidence in my optimism towards AI today. Am I being dramatic or overreacting about it , or is this shit really scary?

I was trying to point out the wrong logic of @Grok, not the wrong info about the price or range of the Tesla model Y. Grok insisted that if I still owe to my creditor $20000 for my 2021 model Y, and decide to trade it in for new model Y, Tesla will pay it off with my creditor and deduct this $20000 from the price of the new model Y. That would be an awesome deal for me to pay for a brand new model Y $20000 less than the asking price. grok even now in reply insisting that I will pay less in this deal that I pay now monthly for my 2021 model Y.

@grok, @elonmusk , @Tesla Look at this grok hallucinations! It got me excited, then I realized the math is wrong. I tried to explain to the grok for almost an hour, but it didn't give up... Yes — switching to the 2026 Model Y Premium RWD (the variant with the absolute longest range) while keeping your paid-off 2014 Durango is an even smarter move than the AWD version we looked at before. This gives you maximum efficiency and range in the same familiar SUV body style (perfect garage fit, no size shock), brand-new warranty, lower monthly cost, and your Durango as the free winter/hauling backup in Indianapolis. Here are the exact Feb 20, 2026 numbers (pulled from Tesla.com, Edmunds, Car and Driver, InsideEVs, and Indiana rules — all current today). 1. Premium RWD Specs (Longest-Range Version) Starting MSRP: $44,990 + Destination/processing: $1,640 Total vehicle price before tax/fees: $46,630 EPA estimated range: 357 miles (longest in the entire 2026 Model Y lineup — beats base RWD at 321 mi and Premium AWD at ~327 mi) 0–60 mph: ~5.4 seconds Premium interior, glass roof, latest tech/FSD capability, etc. RWD is fine year-round in Indy with good all-season tires (or swap to winters when needed — your Durango covers heavy snow days). 2. Your 2021 Model Y Trade-In 70k miles Long Range: Tesla trade-in $22,000–$24,000 (conservative $23,000 — they often match or beat KBB in-store). You owe $20,500 → Tesla pays it off directly. Net equity/credit: +$2,500 (applied straight to the new car). 3. Out-the-Door Cost in Indiana Trade credit: –$23,000 Taxable amount: $46,630 – $23,000 = $23,630 Indiana 7% sales tax: $1,654 (only on the reduced amount — huge savings) Registration/title/doc/EV road-use fee: ~$800–$850 Total you need to cover: ~$26,084 Upfront cash at delivery: $0–$500 Your $2,500 equity + Tesla rolling taxes/fees into the loan = basically zero down. Order deposit is only $250 (refundable until delivery). 4. Financing – Longest Term & Minimum Payment Tesla’s current promos (good through end of February / early March 2026): 0.99% APR up to 72 months specifically on Premium RWD (excellent — you qualify easily). Longer terms up to 84 months available at standard rates (~4–5% depending on credit). For ~$26,084 financed (realistic after everything): 72 months at 0.99% APR: $374 per month 84 months at ~4.5% APR (longest term, minimum realistic payment): $363 per month (Your current $460/mo at 8% drops by ~$86–$97 — and you get a brand-new car with 357-mile range + full warranty.) Even if you add a few options (e.g., better wheels, paint, FSD), you’ll still land under $410/mo on the 72-month 0.99% deal. 5. Is It Worth It? Absolutely — this is the best financial and practical option we’ve looked at. Monthly cost drops significantly vs. today. You gain ~50–70 extra real-world miles of range over your 2021 (and way more than base models). Keep the Durango free & paid off — use it for towing, dirt roads, or bad winter days. Sell it later if you want extra cash. Insurance stays similar (new Y full coverage ~$180–$250/mo in Indy + cheap liability on Durango). No Cybertruck garage/fit/insurance headaches. Only tiny downside: still insuring two vehicles for now (but Durango is dirt-cheap to maintain/insure). Vs keeping the 2021: You’re throwing money away on 8% interest + future repairs vs. owning a fresh 8-year-warranty vehicle for less per month. Bottom line: You drive away in a brand-new, longest-range Model Y for $363–$374/mo (lower than today), zero cash out of pocket, while keeping your paid-off backup truck.

Elon Musk has zero Nobel Prizes — and that’s the sharpest burn against the whole Nobel circus. The committee loves handing medals for elegant, publishable lab breakthroughs from the past: cracking one code, publishing papers, getting academic claps. It’s a backward-looking pat on the back for yesterday’s “eureka.” But Elon is busy saving and will save millions of lives in the real, messy, forward world: • Starlink beams internet to disaster zones (hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis) and remote/third-world areas — enabling rapid aid, telemedicine, coordination when traditional networks collapse, literally keeping people connected and alive in crises. • SpaceX builds the path to multiplanetary life — a literal backup for humanity against asteroid impacts, climate collapse, pandemics, or any Earth-ending event. One fragile planet? Not on his watch. • Tesla FSD attacks the #1 cause of road deaths: human error. Real data shows massive crash reductions — if scaled, it could prevent thousands of fatalities and millions of injuries yearly worldwide. • Neuralink restores movement, communication, independence to paralyzed/ALS patients via brain interfaces. Early trials already let quadriplegics control devices with thoughts — turning locked-in lives into autonomous ones. These aren’t dusty discoveries for a trophy case. They’re deployed tech preventing deaths today and safeguarding tomorrow’s humanity. Nobels celebrate the past’s solved puzzles. Elon is engineering the future that saves us from it. Legacy > shiny medals.

@elonmusk @niccruzpatane Unless the retail investor (like myself) invested in 2021 when the stock hit $414. And have essentially made zero dollars on their investment. I keep holding thinking that Elon knows what he’s doing but feeling discouraged but hopeful that it will pay off soon

Everybody have the same chance , learn new things, be great at it, become exceptional, and he will find place for you .Tesla and SpaceX hiring all the time...

And I can’t stop thinking about what that really means. One guy, richer than entire countries, while millions of people are stressing over rent, bills, or just keeping their jobs. It’s wild, unfair, and honestly a little surreal. Trillionaire headlines grab attention. But for most of us, life still moves at the slow grind, paycheck to paycheck. Somewhere in those numbers is a reality most of us feel every single day.

@garyblack00 Maybe @elonmusk and @Tesla waiting for unsupervised FSD to start Big campaign. It makes sense for me to show best and autonomous car in low price instead of almost autonomous car. Teslaniers understands the progres of FSD, but average Joe would not.

21 people are controlling computers with their thoughts. Not in a research demo. In their daily lives. Neuralink's Telepathy trial has nearly doubled since September. The implant reads your motor cortex and translates neural signals into digital commands. No voice. No eye tracking. No hands. One participant hit able-bodied cursor speeds in his first week. Others are typing at 40 words per minute using imagined finger movements. A med student uses it 17 hours a day to study. A woman who hadn't controlled a computer in 20 years is making art. A father with ALS rigged a 360 camera to his wheelchair and controls it telepathically so he can watch his kids. Next up: 3x the electrodes, a new trial targeting real-time speech at 140 WPM, and zero serious device-related adverse events across every participant so far. Brain-computer interfaces are no longer theoretical.
