@Neilfarrington After a full season of football, boro could only play one way, and any amount of training on their super secret super tactic is destroyed in 5 minutes of footage? Some coach you got there. I'll reply to myself for you: "Southampton broke a RULE!"

The “Boro beaten over two legs fair & square” #Spygate defence is bollocks (Boro having had to change their system ahead of the games) & irrelevant. The only thing that matters is Southampton cheated to gain an advantage. Whether you think they gained one? Neither here nor there.

@DanW2Capital Don't forget that breaking any rule at all is equated to breaking the most severe rule, so the independent panel whose powers are basically whatever they want, should go for the most nuclear option.

''If Southampton had fielded an ineligible player'' ''If Southampton bribed a referee'' ''If Southampton kidnapped a member of a Boro players family and demanded that they score an own goal'' ''If this was the Olympics'' Yeah but it's not. It's some idiot with sh*t jeans stood by a tree with an Iphone. #Saintsfc

@StuartJones7 Also, with Boro locked out of the process as an interested party, they have no right of appeal anyway. This is why they are pissed at the exclusion.

The disciplinary is on Tuesday. The match is on Saturday. This leaves no time to hear an appeal. The decision will have to be final. That’s why there’s little to no chance of EFL booting #SaintsFC out & risking Saints lawyers going after them for £200m losses #boro

@fatboyscum I think we're fine. The EFL excluding them from the heating as an interested party today means they will have no right of appeal on the decision to the arbitration panel.

As embarrassing as spygate is for #saintsfc, IMO the way Boro have conducted themselves is also pathetic. Boro should submit their evidence and let the commission decide fairly instead of leaking unfounded rumours to the press to pressure them into giving a decision they like.

@Cryptonite69406 @MatthewLeGod Your analogy only works if the bloke in a wheelchair is in competition with another bloke in a wheelchair and being battered between contests would negatively impact the contest. In which case he should get a bodyguard.

@MatthewLeGod It's not secretive, it's just the rules mate. Why should we fence up our pitch to stop other teams cheating? They just shouldn't cheat It's like saying a bloke in a wheelchair should have a bodyguard incase someone batters him

Caveat- the following doesn't mean I'm blaming #Boro or saying #SaintsFC shouldn't be punished. If what Middlesbrough were doing was so secretive why is it possible for any hotel guest to view training? I could book a room, watch them train, make notes & send them to an opponent.

Last season, Southampton only managed 12 points from 38 games and were relegated with 7 games to spare. They broke the record for the earliest relegation in Premier League history and were the first team to go down in Europe’s top five leagues. What a bunch of clowns. 🤡 Even if they do get promoted, at least we can enjoy watching them get humiliated again.🤣

@JustSaints_ What a tackle it was! How can anyone not love this team?! Yes, a web of spies had told him that player has no situational awareness, but he still bust a gut to do him fair and square.

@TeaCider24 @LeighCurtis_DT Robbie was wrong on that - it's not analogous. Correct analogy would be "I've learned he runs fast out the block, so I'll do the same" or something. You still have to run faster - that's why PED's are so heavily sanctioned.

I watched the first leg and Boro should have blitzed Southampton. Was the spy's message to try to let Boro have a headstart? It's naughty and it should be punished, but kicking a team out of the playoffs after a two-legged game that went to extra time, by the way, is absurd.

@slbsn They want to occupy the holier-than-thou space which means they can't be seen to want to gain from it, considering Boro were beaten over 210 minutes by a better team. Absolute cartwheeling mental gymnastics from them to think the ownership don't want to go up to the lovely prem.
