@Hew_Lander Yeah that mission was pretty dumb. Making the moon inhabitable would be cool. It's not far to travel. But bringing the cost down is the challenge. I'm sure someone like Elon could even make Concorde profitable.

@AvonandsomerRob It was just the rapid expanse of technology. It was only 66 years from the first flight to landing on the Moon. I think it’s just science isn’t at the forefront or doesn’t sell as well as Z list celebs. However the last sense of adventure killed 5 billionaires at the titanic

@Hew_Lander No but my teens were filled with the excitement of early consoles and the rapid development of PCs. And I used to go and watch Concorde regularly at Manchester. We have become efficient but lacking in a sense of adventure.

Orion’s crew and service module have separated. The crew module continues on its path towards Earth while the service module will harmlessly burn up in Earth’s atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean. The Artemis II return trajectory is designed to ensure any remaining debris does not pose a hazard to land, people, or shipping lanes.
