With the first miracles, according to prayers, the image of the Mother of God, called, according to tradition, the Virgin Herself, the "Obedient Listener", became famous in the 17th century.
Originally, the image was a fresco—a wall painting characteristic of rough plaster—that was located at the entrance to the dining room at Dohiar Monastery on Athos. Probably, it began to darken from the hood of the lamp, with which some Neil monk regularly walked there, carrying in dining obedience. One night, he suddenly heard a voice calling not to treat the sacred image so carelessly. An amazing phenomenon that repeated again, Neil did not take it seriously, but considered as a joke one of the brothers. His lamp continued to smoke up his old image. But after a while, the careless monk suddenly became blind. Only then did he realize that the Blessed Virgin herself addressed him. In front of her image, which he didn't care about before, Neil began to ask the Virgin for forgiveness. and soon got it .
The Mother of God returned his sight and turned to the monk again, who herself gave the name to the icon - The Fast Listener: "Because to all who come to her I will be mercy and hearing is short."
The entrance to the dining room was moved, and a chapel was built near the miraculous image, and now the condition of the lamps was carefully monitored. It soon became clear that the supplications with which people come to the image of God actually hears them. And for three and a half centuries, believers in different parts of the world confirm that sincere prayer in front of the "Listening" - whether it is an original image, a list or even just an icon printed in the typography - brings relief and solutions to problems.

Throughout the day, try to remember God more often. If you feel bad, turn to Him: "Lord, I feel bad, help me." If you feel good: "Lord, glory to You, thank You for this joy." If you are worried about someone: "Lord, I am worried about him, help him." Whatever happens, turn it into prayer.
St. Ambrose of Optina

"Whoever runs to you in moments of fear,
and seeks your presence when their heart is confused, anxious, or tired, is telling you—without words—that you mean so much to them.
So honor the trust they place in you,
and never let their heart feel abandoned.
For the Lord Jesus said:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Matthew 11:28)
And again He said:
“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
So when someone hides their trembling soul in your presence, be for them a gentle echo of Christ’s love, a safe place where their fear grows quiet, and their heart finds rest."
