The irony of saying this about the movie with the least present music out of almost all Nolan’s films. Yall r just saying shit
oek@herelieselijah
someone cooked here lmaooo
English

@aGuyOnMyPhone Quoting the gospel does not make it a Christian film?? That’s just not how that works. Nolan can incorporate Christian texts into dialogue without declaring that this famously Hellenic text is actually Christian now
English

Guys, Telemachus literally quotes the Gospel. I get that we might not like the paper thin “secular morality is impossible” internet apologetics, but the film is self-consciously Christian
yoshimi battles video game addiction@nise_yoshimi
"Nolan's odyssey is Christian in its morality" is a sentiment that could only come from Americans, who all without exception believe that Christianity invented morality (good) or that Christianity invented morality (bad)

Name 1 good movie with a sex scene that isn't pointless and has narrative significance
Joe Russo@joerussotweets
Gen Z when they see sex scenes in a movie.

@betwixtvillages Oh yea for sure!! I love it because of that too, I just don’t think it’s gonna win all the Oscar’s people think 😭
English

@HexIssy it does surprise me too and idk where i’d rank it because i can never decide on stuff like that but personally the reason i love it so much is because it takes an apocalyptic situation and turns it heartwarming and beautiful and hopeful and we don’t have enough of that 🥹

@PhaidReo @LuluciferAlhuin @DragonShadows4 No I know! I replied to you twice, I was just saying it’s not a bad thing to have these interpretations, I agree with you too
English

@HexIssy @LuluciferAlhuin @DragonShadows4 but i wasnt talking to you. the guy above thinks ovid's version is the original and is like "erm i mean its obvious to make her sympathetic based on the original myth" and i am explaingi to them that isnt the original myth.
like i agree with you originally
English

People genuinely think Madeline millers books are better interpretations of the original myths. There really is a whole other world out there
