COD WWII lobbies were so cool. You could see everyone. Names, Ranks, Prestige, Customization, Everything. 18 players all gathered together before the match
Stuff like this, plus the Headquarters, gave the game such a sense of community

@Hexternal_ @JoniK90461517 @SeaOfThieves It quite literally is though, even if things return. You can "miss out" on the current rotation. With no way of knowing when something will return, you feel more pressured to make the purchase now, just in case it doesn't come back in a while.

@Wermux Jokes aside, this is how most mainstream micro-transaction shops work in games. Not that I support how much limited time stuff Rare are doing right now, but it’s annoying how much people are throwing the word FOMO around at everything. Not to mention that it’s barely FOMO here

@S0nicbob @Capt_Logun That change makes it a bit more fair to us veteran players. Now, if there was a way to find out if you've reached that amount, that would be better.
At least now, we don't have to grind out the 50k unless we fall short of the lifetime amount.

1/2 We’ve listened to your feedback on the Doubloon Hoarder Cutlass, and this commemorative prize will now be distributed at a later date to pirates with a LIFETIME total of 50,000 Doubloons or more earned before the April 16th reset, regardless of how many they currently own.

@R_SotLeaks Not to mention that nobody’s doubloons are being ‘devalued’. You can spend as much as you want on the temporary doubloon shop before the reset, as well as converting it all to gold before the reset. If people care enough to cry about it on twitter, they can care enough for that

The Doubloon change is a good thing IMO
The problem is that there is too many diff things to do, leading to all the crews in a server all doing diff things
With the return of bilge rat events, more people will be doing the same thing, bringing back player interaction

@_xxItsRxx_ This is actually unbelievable. Why would they remove arena and add back a worse version of it when the game has a fraction of the playerbase it had when they removed the original. Surely if they integrate this through normal hourglass the queues are more than dead after 2 weeks

@ArtistofThieves @benmannlol @W0ty__ @SeaOfThieves Rare said many months ago that they intend to lock hourglass behind a requirement, like say 3 factions at level 30 etc. Ppl are annoyed bc it doesn’t seem like a massive change for them to make, despite it likely having a big impact on reducing cheaters in hg which everyone wants

Alright pirates, I want to hear your thoughts on this!
If you, the players, had some authority at @RareLtd, what would be the first 5 things you’d change & add to make sure #SeaOfThieves not only lasts another 5 years, but grows exponentially in both its content and player count?
Here are mine:
1. Free to Play
2. Sunset Xbox One support
3. Expand Hourglass with 2 new modes: A 5 ship “free for all” Arena style mode, and a TDM mode
4. Completely overhaul the creative direction to story, lore, and world building
5. Introduce seasonal map changes and expansions
I’m interested in what everyone else’s decisions would be! 🏴☠️
