Our Prague/NFC Europe trip has been a distraction, but @HeyBayle and I are finally headed home to face the reality of the heartbreaking nightmare we never expected. On the 2nd night of our trip, while 5,000mi away, we had to say goodbye to Kona. It was extremely sudden, unforeseen, and the 8 years we had with him will never, ever feel like enough. There is an unimaginable emptiness we’re both already feeling. I’ll never be able to thank @AlessAndLexie and @VarroWolf enough for sitting up with us as we bawled our eyes out at 3am in Prague as we made the hardest decision over the phone. We tried to give Kona the best life we possibly could, but I would give anything just to hold him again. Everyone who ever met him knew how loved he was and how much he meant to us 💔

Finally home from #nordicfuzzcon #NFC2026 I had an absolutely wonderful time seeing everybody there! This was my first time spending an entire week at a con, and I still feel like there was more stuff I could do there 😆 it was such a big and fun con! #MFYMonday
