@eldradmvstlive The fact that he was very prickly about his relationship with the show - I don't know, I respected that as a kid. I got it. And it made him showing up in Day of the Doctor all the more effective.

Fun fact: the scene with Garland and the little girl was 6 minutes long in the original cut. When we previewed it a woman stood up during the scene, looked back where we were sitting and yelled, “Why are you doing this to us?!” We trimmed it down.
