Great point, but there's also a real gotcha with these used enterprise hardware, if the previous owner/company never fully deregistered the device from Autopilot, it stays locked to their tenant and you can't enroll it into yours. If you can't reach them I guess your only option is a Microsoft Support ticket with proof of ownership (serial number, invoice etc.) and hope they move fast. Happened to me more than once :-)
