This argument only holds for people who say they’re fans of games they haven’t played while trying to act like they have played them, but most actually aren’t doing that.

The company wants the GAME to grow. Not your investment in keeping their product sealed/getting an unaffiliated companies opinion on a cards condition.
Them keeping packs $3-$5 since the beginning is on purpose. It's so anyone can get cards and learn to play.
If they liked the scalper community at all, they wouldn't be investing in printing more cards, but they have been.
