The contrast between Scottish and American golf - scoregolf.com/opinion/the-co… Came across this article today and every single reason that is listed as to why American’s don’t like golf in Scotland are 100% THE reasons why I LOVE golf in Scotland and don’t really like it in the US!

@brmullig @ppargolfer The majority of golfers (at least in the US) are high handicappers… so I’d say it’s a pretty relevant way to play.

@ppargolfer It’s ok for high handicappers and that’s it. I make them play killer stableford and they shut up pretty quick.

Is stableford the dumbest and most pointless game in golf… Or is it just me?

What’s your favorite quirky course? North Berwick, Cruden Bay and Tobacco Road are three great ones that come to mind…

@golfcourses101 Among my biggest thrills among the @OTMTrail was @dunbargolfclub, which I’m not sure gets the attention it deserves.

What is one of your favorite “gem” course that is lesser known? This afternoon I got to visit Hollinwell in the UK, it was a real treat! What a piece of land for a golf course.
