High Brooms Society

Southborough’s Isolation Hospital, on Vauxhall Lane was opened in 1895. It was primarily to serve local people who had contracted smallpox. The cover is taken from booklet ‘Isolation Hospital: General Rules’, by the Urban District Council and ‘Influenza-Advice’ from early 20th C.

@twellschris @RTWCS @KentHighways @TWellsCouncil They get sold straight into reclaimation yards... it's an absolute disgrace that @TWellsCouncil have allowed this to continue. They need to employ a #Heritage officer to prevent further abuse of our town

@HighBroomsSoc @RTWCS @KentHighways @TWellsCouncil A house was built in our road a few years or so back and the builders removed bricks in front of the house and tarmaced. Council made them replace it with red bricks. Unfortunately the originals had long since gone so not local bricks

We love our #TunbridgeWells bricks #HighBrooms #heritage under our feet- BUT where have they all gone in Royal Chase? @KentHighways why so much tarmac? We understand from residents that the bricks were removed and shouldn't have been.

@TWellsCouncil @TWBC_Green no #recycling collection again on Friday in Cambrian Road, or Saturday... can you advise why and when this will happen? This is such a regular occurrence now you need to review with the contractor why the service is so poor #TunbridgeWells #fail

@Se_Railway it's freezing outside but many passengers have been abandoned at Tonbridge with no onward trains, platform toilets locked... and you are increasing fares in January... this is the ultimate insult to your customers, you have no shame #southeastern #fail

End of day... the inbound train was terminated at London Bridge as it was so late... and the return journey was also delayed due to 'poor track conditions'... it's already depressing being overcharged for such a poor service but #southeastern take it to another level
