Really quite devastating when you lose folks out of your community. “Pocono Racing” I had the pleasure of meeting at the Derby and he was one of the kindest and most fun people, an absolute genuine joy to be around. His prized horses at the beginning of the game were so dominant, he has records that have stood for years and likely will stand for many more years if not forever. My favorite memory was hanging at a bar the night before the Derby, where he told me the anecdote that he had told his ex “you can have the house, but not the horses!” Will miss you brother, rest in power.
