Fans of EVERY baseball team are usually the most critical of the pitching coach, because no one knows when the right time is to take out or leave in a pitcher. NO ONE! It's probably the least scientific part of the decision-making aspects of game days. It's near impossible to put analytics to things and come up with baselines to make decisions on, especially in College. So, fans complain about the bad results, and, in doing so, don't give credit to all the times decisions did work. It's just part of the job when you sign up for it, but here are some numbers from the last 2 years under Rob Walton. 2024 Walks 198 - Best in Big 12 Runs 282, 2nd best in Big 12 ERA 4.08 Best in Big 12 2025 Walks 253 -3rd fewest Runs 290, 3rd fewest ERA 4.55 4th fewest The Wizard was THE WIZARD until the day he retired. He hate(d)(s) the modern landscape of College athletics, but he might have actually found a good groove finding the Molskys & Cranz & Holiday & Pesca, and Bodeys of the world in the transfer portal. And TBH, he was underappreciated by the OSU fans. Coach Hawksworth is in the process of finding his groove at OSU, but he has big shoes to fill. #gopokes #okstate

@AlldayOstate Not sure what you’re referring to but we are always in a 2 strike situation. We are not aggressive at the plate. You can be aggressive and disciplined at the same time. We are not that. But to be honest it’s less hitting than pitching for us.
